The scale and proportions of the existing building shell provided an opportunity for a bold and dramatic design. Large windows offer panoramic views over the city and to Mt Fuji beyond.
Through a strong use of light and colour the restaurant gives a wonderful first impression, after which one begins to appreciate the intricate detailing involved.
Amy was responsible for such design detailing as the full height wine wall accessed from the mezzanine above, bespoke screens and the main bar, requiring a high level of joinery detailing.
